C’est souvent un défi de travailler une page de journal sur un fond noir au lieu du fond habituellement de gesso blanc. Cependant, nous pouvons utiliser presque tout le même matériel sur un fond noir que sur un blanc.

Pour la pièce ci-dessous, j’ai utilisé les mêmes techniques que s je travaillais sur un fond blanc. Collage, pâte à texture légère, peintures à l’acrylique et craies à l’aquarelle, cire à dorée, etc. Il s’agit de se laisser, d’expérimenter et de profiter du fond noir pour faire ressortir les éléments.

It's often a challenge to work a journal page on a black background instead of the usual white gesso. However, we can use almost all the same materials on a black background as on a white one.

For the piece below, I used the same techniques as if I were working on a white background. Collage, light-textured paste, acrylic paints and watercolor chalks, gilding wax, and so on. It's all about letting go, experimenting and taking advantage of the black background to bring out the elements.
